Shawdesh Desk: Jute mill workers in Khulna continued to hold demonstrations by blocking roads on Monday to press home their 11-point demand, including payment of pending salary and implementation of a wage commission.
Thousands of workers of the nine state-owned jute mills brought out a procession at around 9:00am and it paraded different roads of the city.
Later, they put barricade at different points disrupting traffic movement on the Khulna-Jashore highway.
Earlier on November 23, the State-owned Jute Mill Collective Bargaining Association (CBA) and Non-CBA Sangram Parishad announced seven-day agitation programme.
